Discovery at Live Earth Farm
Live Earth Farm is a 150 acre diversified, organic, family farm. Tom and Constance Broz started the farm in 1995 with the support of many friends and volunteers. Today, they run a year-round CSA and grow over 50 different fruits and vegetables.
In 2007, they launched their Discovery Program to provide hands-on educational programs for youth on their farm and in local schools, focused on the environmental and nutritional value of local, organic and sustainable food and farms. They host more than 1500 children on the farm each year for a variety of unique interactive learning opportunities.
“To farm organically means to work in harmony with nature. By caring for the Earth in this way, we honor the independence of all life and strive to preserve it’s diversity for future generations to enjoy”.
Tours begin at 10 am. and includes the lower field barn area and areas where produce is grown. Apple pressing will be going on throughout the day. There is a lot to discover at Live Earth Farm!
