Prevedelli Farm is a fourth generation certified family-run, organic farm. Their farm has been in operation for over 60 years, since 1945. The farm was originally started by Arturo Prevedelli, who immigrated from Italy in the 1930’s. Whether it’s planting, harvesting, or selling at the farmers market, this is truly a family-run farm and everybody is involved.
All of Prevedelli Farms fruit and vegetables are certified organic and locally grown. Their apples, pears and berries are picked by hand at the peak of ripeness for full flavor. Berries are available starting late spring into late summer and apples are harvested from July through November. The large variety of apples grown, (over 30 varieties in all), allows for their farm to extend the apple harvest, as they ripen at different times.
The barn will be open to the public. Barn tours, apple sauce making and pear & apple tasting will be on-going throughout the day.
Three field tours will be offered at 11am, 12:30pm and 2:00pm.
Products for sale
Apples, berries, a variety of Prevedelli jams, apple crisp with ice cream and much more are all available for purchase at the farm.
Their farm stand participates in 12 farmers markets throughout the Bay Area!
