Collaborative efforts with local organizations in 2020 & 2021 produced a few webinars to bring awareness to how our regional industrial agricultural system currently operates and what can be done to make it more sustainable. Our focus was on plastics in the environment and supporting regional meat production.

Plasticulture poses serious issues to our environment and health. Plastic mulch in particular is significantly impacting
the environment in negative ways that are not sustainable... yet it does offer advantages for water retention, weeds and
keeping crops from rotting. Open Farm Tours strives to support education in tandem with regional actions that
supports a sustainable future.
