Plasticulture / A Deep Dive into the Use of Plastics In Agriculture

Open Farm Tours in collaboration with Healthy Soils presented a deep dive into Plasticulture, on Oct. 3, 2020.  Five industry professionals discuss the important role of plastics in agriculture & how it affects our environment. Agriculture is one of the largest users of single-use plastic of any industry. The increased gains in crop productivity that plastics bring about has also led to an increase of plastics in landfills. Our mission is to advocate for sustainability between agricultural materials and our regional waste management systems to create an "end of life" cycle so our valuable resources don't end up in landfills & polluting the environment.
