Pie Ranch
Pie Ranch is a working organic farm, an education center and an organization building partnerships for a healthy and just food system. The overarching vision of Pie Ranch is healing relationships with self, others, and the earth. They are located in the ancestral territory of the Quiroste and primarily do their work on over 430 acres, with their sights set even farther than that!
Pie Ranch cultivates a nourishing and just food system from "seed to table" in 3 main ways:
- They provide food and farming education to youth and the public, around 6000 people/yr. Along with farm visits they also showcase their own & regional products through their farmstand. They build community through workshops, work days and celebrations.
- Through their Farmer Pathways program: they offer internships/fellowships for youth and access to land, capital and equipment through the Cascade Regenerator program.
- They build regional partnerships that lead to structural shifts in our food system (ex: climate/farming research with universities); with their "Peoples Food and Farm" project.
