Karla DeLong has been gardening their property in Ben Lomond for over 15 years and although their home was spared in the 2020 CZU fire, their property was not.

Left with a scorched landscape and overwhelming grief at the loss of wilderness & nearby neighbors, Karla saw the potential for new growth in the now sunny flat area the fire had created.

Beeline Blooms was created out of love for community and a desire to bring beauty & healing to fire survivors and the land. Their farm has transcended through regenerative growing practices from ashes to a rainbow of 300+ dahlia varieties, a diversity of food crops & pollinators.

Driven by a lifelong connection to nature, she entered agriculture with a simple but profound mission: to share joy through flowers.

Today, her farm is a place of inspiration. She believes women bring a unique spirit of caretaking to the fields, nurturing both the crops and the customers they serve.

For her, farming is a complex craft requiring a multi-faceted skillset. Her proudest achievement isn't just the blooms she coaxes from the soil, but her ability to teach and inspire others to get their hands in the dirt and start their own gardens.

When she isn't managing the daily demands of the farm, she focuses on her biggest ongoing challenge: balancing a thriving agricultural life with a cherished family life. Above all, she carries a deep sense of pride in her work, proving everyday that a life rooted in nature can blossom into something truly extraordinary.
